If you are not Catholic or not prepared to participate in the Holy Eucharist you may still join us in prayer as it is appropriate to be fully prepared prior to receiving the Holy Eucharist.
Please join us in welcoming and praying for our new Parochial Vicar, Fr. Kevin McGraw. Fr. Kevin was ordained to the Priesthood on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo, Ohio. Fr. Kevin will be with us as of Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Minister of Life-long Formation
The Catholic Parishes of Defiance, St. John the Evangelist and St. Mary, are seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Minister of Life-long Formation. This full-time staff position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the OCIA process, leading and directing the Second Hour program, and creating and encouraging an environment of life-long learning and experience in discipleship of Jesus Christ. The applicant must be willing to work as part of ministry team, have a love for the Catholic faith, and a passion for religious education. Interested applicants should have sufficient experience in leadership and parish ministry. Appropriate educational background and teaching experience is required. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Therefore, a Eucharistic procession is a public witness of the veneration of our Most Holy Lord. We honor Christ and serve as witnesses to His presence in the world as well as in each person. The procession with the Blessed Sacrament reminds us that we are called to go out and bring Jesus to others, to the faithful of their spiritual journey toward eternal life with God, and to promote the devotion of His Real Presence in the Eucharist. So, come join us on the Feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday, June 22nd, after the 10:30 am Mass to proclaim the True Presence of Our Lord.
